About Rene Lellouche

Rene Lellouche Bio, in short...
Born in Tunis (1956) as the third child of Sarah and Elie, Rene is living and creating in Israel where he immigrated with his family (1969).
Self-taught artist, and although devoid of any formal artistic education , he became an accomplished 'impressionism' specialist painter.
Rene did many group and solo exhibitions worldwide: Israel, France, Italy (Minsk - Kiev - Odessa - Paris - Jerusalem - Novosibirsk - Tel-Aviv - Florence) and so on.

A few words about his artworks we are archiving on this site: thanks to his high level technical skills and knowledge, he is painting like someone was writing, unusually fast! And many of his works were created within only a few minutes... Using oil colors (tubes) medium, Rene is painting on almost all kinds of surfaces: paper, canvas, carton, pizza carton, oil colors appropriated paper, board, wrapping paper, wood, all in different sizes. About 'La Periode Jaune' (The Yellow Period' in french): A 'Tetradist' pioneer in Plastic Art? (a term derived from the 'Tetradic Color Scheme'), maybe, it depend in which perspective we are looking and who we are asking... others artists already used these spectral colors scale in Posters, Graphics, Comics, and here and there in visual arts somehow, but moderately (if at all) in plastic art, as well as we know at least. Strongly influenced by the so intensive sunlight and clarity of his country, and by practicing also, side by side, a more 'conventional' painting style, he has adopted over the years this color synthesis to create his own and unique personal style ('The Yellow Period').
